Ute Pass Evacuation Exercise Registration

The Town of Green Mountain Falls and the Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management will host an evacuation exercise on the morning of Saturday, October 7, for residents of the Town of Green Mountain Falls, Chipita Park and Cascade.

During this exercise, residents of the Town of Green Mountain Falls, Chipita Park, and Cascade will receive first-hand experience evacuating their homes in an emergency and learn valuable information they will need during a wildfire or other emergency. They will also help first responders from across the region in a valuable exercise of evacuation procedures.

On the morning of October 7, all users who have opted into Peak Alerts will receive a pre-planned evacuation notice directing them to gather at a simulated evacuation center. The center will feature demonstrations and information on emergency shelters for people and animals, and an emergency preparedness fair including agencies and organizations that support evacuations in El Paso County.

If you are a resident and would like to participate in the exercise:

Residents of the Town of Green Mountain Falls, Chipita Park or Cascade interested in participating must register in advance and reside in the neighborhoods specific to this drill. Registration may be completed online. The deadline to register is September 25, 2023, or when capacity is reached. When participation capacity is reached, registration will be closed.

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; optional preparedness fair from 11:00 a.m. to noon.

There will be a pre-evacuation meeting for residents of the Town of Green Mountain Falls area who have registered or those who are interested in participating in the exercise.
