El Paso County Fair Queen Cheyenne Holt visited the Board of County Commissioners on Thursday to promote the 113th El Paso County Fair, July 14-21 in Calhan.
“I’ve had the pleasure of calling the El Paso County Fair my second home for the past nine years as an active member of 4H,” Holt said. She ran down the list of exciting attractions and annual events at this year’s fair including the Elephant Extravaganza, Butterfly Encounter, the Salida Circus performers, 4-H exhibits, concerts, bull riding, carnival and demolition derby. “Come start your summer off right at the El Paso County Fair.”
Alia Kapphan added some horse power and noise to the day with her race car. The County Fair’s opening night auto races begin at 5 p.m.
The Golden Ticket is $55 and allows the purchaser access to the fair all eight days including admittance to the auto races, bull riding, truck and tractor pull, and the demolition derby. The ticket holder will receive special center grandstand seating for these events.
