UMR
Full-time employees are eligible to participate in El Paso County’s medical plan. UMR is the administrator of our self-funded medical plan, and UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus is the network of providers utilized by this Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) plan. Express Scripts prescription plan is included with medical plan enrollment.

Prescription Plan
Express Scripts
The prescription plan, administered by Express Scripts, is included with your medical plan enrollment. Plan members may fill their prescriptions through retail pharmacies participating in the Express Scripts network for a 30 and/or 90-day supply. You can also obtain a 90-day supply of maintenance medications through the Express Scripts Pharmacy Home Delivery service.

El Paso County Employee Health Centers are available to all enrolled Medical Plan participants. The Employee Health Centers offer quality, convenient, and affordable medical care, along with a full range of preventive health and wellness services. The Health Center staff includes board certified family physicians, nurse practitioners, and a clinical phycologist who are committed to caring for your current and future health care needs, following evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines, and assisting you with reaching your personal health goals.
Services include: primary care, urgent care, preventative health, mental/behavioral health, disease management, wellness education & support, lab services, and referrals to specialists.

Lantern (formerly SurgeryPlus)
Surgical Care
Lantern offers high quality surgical care with waived copays and coinsurance for non-emergent surgical procedures, such as orthopedics, spine, cardiac, ENT, GYN, and pain management.
Services include dedicated support, consults & appointments, as well as coverage for the procedure, anesthesia, and facility fees.
Cancer Care
Lantern members have quick access to oncology nurse navigators to discuss their diagnosis, treatment plan and medications, and their side effects.
Infusion Therapy
Lantern provides access to infusions at a lower cost, whether at-home or at infusion centers. Lantern provides personalized support, guiding members to the most appropriate site of care for their situation.

Sleep Health
SleepCharge
SleepCharge is a sleep healthcare provider that offers a comprehensive sleep care management program. With this service, medical experts can help assess your sleep health and create a personalized treatment plan for sleep apnea.
Additionally, SleepCharge offers a sleep check-up, providing a personalized report and access to their Sleep Life Learning Center.
All employees and their adult dependents enrolled in the EPC Medical Plan are eligible. All costs for the program are covered by the plan.
Virtual Physical Therapy
Hinge Health
Hinge Health offers a digital virtual physical therapy program designed to treat muscle and joint pain without office visits or copays. Whether you’re hoping to overcome nagging pain, recover from recent injuries, prepare for surgery, or find new strategies to stay healthy and pain-free, Hinge Health will assess your condition and match you to a care team to help personalize your treatment to you.

Early Cancer Detection
Galleri
With a single blood draw, the Galleri test screens for a unique “fingerprint” of 50+ cancers, including many without recommended screenings available today. Note: This test does not replace other available or recommended screenings.
EPC Medical Plan enrollees are eligible for this benefit if they are 50 years and older, as well as plan participants ages 40 to 49 with risk factors.

Enrolling in the El Paso County Medical Plan Maternity Benefits can also offer added benefits and waived co-pays.
