The Board of El Paso County Commissioners is seeking a community-minded citizen volunteer to serve on the Colorado Springs Sports Authority. Applications are due by September 3, 2019.
The Colorado Springs Sports Authority is currently seeking one (1) Director to be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners of El Paso County.
The Sports Authority will be actively engaged in overseeing the marketing and programing of facilities associated with the City for Champions (C4C) initiative through events held by National Governing Bodies, other sports organizations, and non-sport event organizations. The authority will be composed of five (5) Directors with staggered initial terms of service. The term of the Director appointed by the Board of County Commissioners will expire on December 21, 2021.
Each of the Directors shall have professional expertise in real estate development, local government, construction contracting, public or private finance, the sports industry, or any other area that the respective ‘Appointing Body’ believes will benefit the Board.
The date, time, and location of the initial meeting will be determined by the Chairperson of the Board.
