Colorado State University offers a variety of classes and hands-on workshops in El Paso County throughout the year. They range from consumer education in home gardening, food preservation, and food safety certifications.

Cottage Food Training

Participants will learn safety guidelines and specifics for operating a small home-based cottage food business from a home kitchen. Upon completion of an exam participants will receive a 3-year certification which meets the food safety training requirement for Colorado Cottage Foods Act.

Farm Tax Class

How you manage your farm income expenses today will influence the taxes you pay. Topics will be: farm business expense, reporting farm income, farm records and strategies for managing tax liabilities.
