March 17, 2022 – The El Paso County Courts and the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office will open on time. However, El Paso County Administrative Offices and all other County Affiliated Agencies will open at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 17, 2022, due to the hazardous driving conditions in parts of El Paso County.
The delayed opening includes the Department of Human Services, El Paso County Public Health as well as county offices of the Treasurer, Assessor and the Clerk and Recorder.
The Public Works Department is closely monitoring weather conditions. It currently has 32 snowplows working primarily the northern and western parts of the County where snow totals are significantly higher. Crews have been working throughout the evening.
The Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management is also monitoring conditions and reminds citizens to plan accordingly by monitoring weather forecasts and heading travel warnings. Due to the heavy, wet nature of the snow falling with this storm, there is the possibility of power outages caused by trees or limbs falling onto power lines.
El Paso County PSD maintains more than 2,100 miles of county roads ranging from multi-lane urban thoroughfares to neighborhood cul-de-sacs and rural gravel roads.
