A showing of the Rocky Mountain PBS one-hour documentary, The Arkansas River: From Leadville to Lamar will be held at El Paso County’s Centennial Hall Auditorium. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26.

The event is free and open to the public.

The film explains the value and importance that the Arkansas River and its tributaries provide to the many different water users in the Arkansas Basin.

Following the film, a panel discussion of local water experts will led by Michael Fink of the City of Fountain. The panelists are Abby Ortega, Colorado Springs Utilities, Richard Mulledy, Colorado Springs Water Resources Engineering, Larry Small, Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control and Greenway District, Craig Dossey, El Paso County, Doug Hollister, Division of Water Resources, and Richard Skorman, Colorado Springs City Councilman.

Centennial Hall is at 200 S. Cascade, in downtown Colorado Springs.
