Due to weather delays, El Paso County crews are continuing to perform work on Old Stage Road from the end of the pavement, west of Hill Drive, to approximately five miles southwest to the stables. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by November 7, 2019.
The project involves maintenance of the road including grading of the road and spot gravel treatment. Old Stage Road will be intermittently closed during the maintenance. The intermittent closures could cause delays of 45 minutes or more. These delays are expected to be between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. Please plan accordingly. Detours will not be utilized, but alternate routes are strongly recommended.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speeds and to watch for workers, equipment, signs and barricades. El Paso County wishes to thank drivers in advance for their cooperation. Intermittent road closures will accelerate the safe and efficient completion of this project. Funding for the project is provided by El Paso County.
