The fun is just getting started at the El Paso County Fair in Calhan.
Thursday: NSPA Truck and Tractor Pull at 6 p.m.
Followed by live music by Ashlee & The Longshot Revival
Friday: Bull Riding at 6 p.m.
Followed by live music by Curtis Grimes, with Tenderfoot Bluegrass Band
Saturday: Demolition Derby at 6 p.m.
Followed by live music by Exit West, with John E. Booth & Nightwatch
The Fair features Camel Kingdom an entertaining and educational experience about dromedary camels. Dan Conner and his Reptile Adventures feature an 18-foot python, a 90-pound monitor lizard and 100-year-old alligator snapping turtle. Award-winning magician Jay Mattioli will amaze you with his talent.
The carnival rides go until 10 p.m. on Thursday and 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night.
And don’t forget to check out all the great projects the local 4-H and FFA participants have completed this year. “There are shows throughout the week where they will be exhibiting their animals as well as static tabletop displays,” Starr said.
Friday is Senior Day at the Fair with $3 admission for those 55 and older. Senior Breakfast begins at 9 a.m. followed by other activities.
Saturday is First Responders / Heroes Day with a $1 off admission for all law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and their families.

Envida will provide transportation to the 114th annual El Paso County Fair through Saturday, July 20, at the Fair & Event Center in Calhan.
The route starts at the Mountain Metro Transit Hub North along Voyager/Hwy. 83, just east of Academy Blvd. near Walmart. The stop is easily accessible from the Walmart parking lot.
