October 28, 2021 – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center (SBDC) are partnering to celebrate active military, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouse entrepreneurs for Veterans Entrepreneurial Week November 1-5, 2021.

As part of Veterans Entrepreneurial Week, we celebrate the resilience and strength of the #VetBiz community by hosting free events and sharing information on the resources available to veteran entrepreneurs.

“Veterans are a large part of our economy and viewed as an economic driver for the State of Colorado,” said Aikta Marcoulier, Pikes Peak SBDC Executive Director. “Almost one in ten small businesses are Veteran owned. This week is here to celebrate and continue to support our veterans-owned business in the Pikes Peak Region with free workshops, events, and consulting.”

Veteran entrepreneurs looking to start or grow a business are invited to attend the Colorado SBDC’s 14th Annual Veteran’s Small Business Conference Presented by Pikes Peak National Bank on November 4th, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM, at the Pinery on the Hill.

The conference will offer training, resources, and networking opportunities. Entrepreneurs looking to start a business will learn how to use their skills to lay the foundation for a successful business. Those who already own a business can explore options to grow their current operation through government contracting, improved marketing, certifications, and more.

The Pinery on the Hill is located at 775 W Bijou St. in Colorado Springs. The cost to attend the day-long conference is $10. The conference is expected to sell out, so early registration is encouraged.
