Due to the large fire conditions in the southern part of the county and the high wind conditions which have resulted in extreme fire weather the Sheriff’s office has ordered Stage II Fire Restrictions for all of the unincorporated areas of El Paso County. The Stage II Fire Restrictions shall go into effect immediately and the following are prohibited:
1. Campfires.
2. The sale or use of fireworks.
3. Outdoor smoking except within an enclosed vehicle or building.
4. Public prescribed burning/burn permits.
5. Outdoor cooking and/or fires on private property. **Propane/gas grills on private property are allowed**
The Stage II Restrictions shall remain in effect until such time the restrictions are modified pursuant to El Paso County Ordinance #15-001.
