El Paso County Community Services Department will begin trail/sidewalk construction on Chipita Park Road from Ute Pass Elementary School to Winnemucca Road, approximately 0.6 miles, on Monday, Sept. 9.
Work will generally consist of placing new concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, roadway asphalt patching and ADA pedestrian ramps along the southern edge of Chipita Park Road.
During construction, Chipita Park Road will remain open to 2-way traffic.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speeds and to watch for workers, equipment, signs and barricades. El Paso County wishes to thank drivers in advance for their cooperation. Cautious and attentive driving while transiting the project area will ensure safety and the efficient completion of this project. This project is being funded through a Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) State Trails Grant and through an El Paso County 2014 Ballot Question 1A
