RMS Utilities, Inc will be doing work at the intersection of Fountain Road and Pikes Peak Highway Sept. 17 to Sept. 19 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This intersection will be closed for approximately 12 hours each day as crews connect customer water services to a new water line that was installed in May in the intersection. All traffic will be detoured around the intersection.
Hwy. 24, Chipita Park Rd. and Pike Rd. will serve as the detour routes during the closure. Drivers who need to use the detour routes should plan for added travel time through neighborhoods.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speeds and to watch for workers, equipment, signs and barricades. Full road closure will accelerate the safe and efficient completion of this project.
