Pikes Peak EZ Economic Development Goals

• Tourism & Heritage:
  Support business opportunities that promote the region’s heritage, culture, scenic beauty, wildlife, arts, sporting activities, and other tourism opportunities, resulting in at least a 5% annual increase in out-of-area visitors to EZ contribution projects.

• Employment Opportunities:
  Support and encourage increased employment opportunities by partnering with economic development-focused agencies and businesses in marketing, recruitment, and training efforts, resulting in at least 1,000 new or increased job opportunities within the EZ each year.

• Business District Revitalization:
  In partnership with community stakeholders, support the revitalization of existing business districts through rehabilitation and business expansion, resulting in at least 100 businesses advanced annually.

• Workforce Housing:
  Support Workforce Housing Capital Campaigns, promoting a variety of housing and job opportunities in the region, resulting in at least 50 new or preserved housing units and 70 individuals placed into employment within the EZ each year.

• Healthcare Ecosystem:
  Support a thriving healthcare ecosystem within the EZ by incentivizing investment in medical facilities, expanding access to high-quality care, and encouraging healthcare innovation, resulting in at least 30 new healthcare jobs, 1 new or expanded medical facility, and a 5% annual increase in resident access to primary care.
