Congress pledged in the Housing Act of 1949 “a decent home and suitable living environment for every American family.” El Paso County supports a variety of housing options from single-family to multi-family, urban to rural, and rental to owner-occupied. The El Paso County Housing Authority was established in 1993 with a mission of addressing housing needs of low-to-moderate income residents. We provide housing programs that support affordable housing developers and homebuyers seeking down payment assistance. Housing is an essential and vital asset in El Paso County.
